About legends and heroes - the opening KTM Motohall

After more than four years of project and construction time, the time has finally come - the KTM Motohall in Mattighofen was ceremonially opened with our support. First 400 guests accepted the invitation to the "Friends Opening" before the Motohall was officially opened on 11th/12th May with over 5000 fans and visitors from all over the world.

In addition to a colourful supporting programme for the whole family, a fascinating exhibition and adventure world awaited the visitors on 10,000 m² of space. This is not only a milestone for Mattighofen, KTM's home town, but also for the now globally successful company.

The visitors were particularly enthusiastic about the architecture, the design and of course the exhibition. The result is a synthesis of technology and history. Numerous KTM exhibits from the early years to the present day can be seen on three exhibition levels, staging the core values of the brand. Visitors can follow the design process from the sketch to the finished product. Technical details are illustrated with the help of animations. One of the highlights of the exhibition are the "KTM Legends and Heroes" - with dynamic 360-degree images, the heroes of racing are shown here while they talk about their passion for the brand. The exhibition is complemented by the show workshop and the KTM shop.

But also the younger guests got their money's worth. In the Innovation Lab, children can experience the various design and production processes in a playful way. While on the Rookie Tour they can gather their own impressions and knowledge in a road book across all exhibition levels.

On the opening weekend there were also stunt shows, autograph sessions, interviews and lots of music. The motorbike manufacturer's companions and guests of honour from the world of motorsport were also present. Among them were several world champions from all major motorbike disciplines - such as motocross legend Heinz Kinigadner, Dakar Rally winner Matthias Walkner, Sam Sunderland as well as MotoGP rider Mika Kallio and Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider Miguel Oliveira. In the elaborately staged Heroes level of the KTM Motohall they met their faithful hero-double.
